Kyle Tyrrell, a retired lieutenant-colonel and Iraq war veteran, is being investigated for getting into a fight with 8 or more Muslim men after they threatened his wife.

The former high-ranking military officer put at least 3 of the Muslim attackers in the hospital.

Tyrrell, 47, suffered minor injuries and says his wife, Liana, was punched in the face during the fight at the Cosy Corner beach at Torquay.

On social media, Tyrrell wrote about what happened and urged people to “protect our women because our country is being overrun by Muslim scum.”

“The important thing is my wife, my daughters and myself walked away,” he wrote.

No charges have been filed and police are still investigating.
